·         Fractured Fairy Tales - Stories that extend, or parody, or re-cast the traditional fairy tale in a new light.

·         Grand Comic-Book Database - A free database of over 70,000 titles with complete credits and publishing information, searchable by title, character, editor, writer, penciller, inker, letterer or colorist.

·         Internet Library for Librarians - Children/Youth Services - Educational, recreational, and software resources for K-12 age group users, parents, teachers, librarians, children's book writers, including links to sites related to giftedness, home schooling and child abuse.

·         Kids' Webrary - A large collection of booklists on subjects including Cinderella variants, differently-abled kids, favorite non-fiction, humor and much more.

·         Notable Children's Trade Books in the Field of Social Studies - This annotated bibliography for kindergarten through eighth grade is prepared annually by the National Council for the Social Studies in cooperation with the Children's Book Council.

·         Outstanding Science Trade Books for Children - This annotated bibliography for kindergarten through eighth grade is prepared annually by the National Science Teachers Foundation in Cooperation with the Children's Book Council.

·         Oyate - A Native organization which works to evaluate texts, resource materials and fiction by and about Native peoples; includes catalog of recommended titles.

·         Purple Crayon - Useful articles, mostly for writers and illustrators; selected links to online resources for writers, editors, teachers, librarians, parents.

·         The Reading Corner - Categorized, annotated lists of children's books for grades 2-8, including state awards, new books, and an author corner.

·         Retold Fairy Tales and Legends - Perfect for anyone who has ever enjoyed fairy tales. These stories may be compared with the originals, or appreciated for their breaks in established form.

·         SUNLINK Weed-of-the-Month Club - Designed to provide guidelines to Florida's school library media specialists for keeping their collections relevant and current, this site focuses on a different Dewey subject area each month and is very useful for public library collection development.

·         Superkids:Educational Software Review - Maintained by Knowledge Share LLC, this is a searchable site of information on CD ROMs including reviews, articles, links, a product support directory and a buyer's guide.

SERIES

·         Bettendorf Public Library's Teen Page - A searchable database of series and sequels for children of all ages.  Browse, or search by author, series title or individual book title.

·         Children's Books in Series - An alphabetical listing (by author) of fiction series for children, maintained by the Monroe County Children's Department (IN).

·         Juvenile Series and Sequels from the Mid-Continent Public Library - A database of over 23,000 books in series titles classified into three categories: Young Adult, Juvenile, and Juvenile Easy.
