  • CyberKids - Read stories written by other kids or submit your own work on this innovative site for kids from 7-12.
  • Little Planet Times - By kids, for kids. There are fun stories here and you can write a letter to the editor.
  • Scholastic: Writing with Writers - Learn about various forms of writing and get professional tips here. Participating authors include Gerald Fierst, Nina Jaffe, Karla Kuskin and Jon Scieszka.


EARLY CHILDHOOD

  • Arthur - A fun-packed site for all Arthur fans!
  • Bear in the Big Blue House - Enjoy games, music, books and activities featuring the Bear in the Big Blue house and all of his friends.
  • Berenstain Bears - Search for hidden destinations and enjoy other exciting activities in Berenstain Bear Country.
  • PBS: Between the Lions - From PBS, the people who bring you Between the Lions, comes this collection of read-along stories that are presented in a style similar to that used on the TV show.
  • RIF: Reading Planet - In these sing-along and reading adventures, test is displayed on the screen as a narrator reads each passage. The stories and songs are aimed at younger readers and include such titles as Drippy the Icicle, River Otter, Barnyard Babies and two stories and three songs in Spanish.
  • Seussville - Have a great time playing games with all of Dr. Seuss's wacky characters!
  • Starfall - This is a great site for early readers. Great site for parents, teachers and students in elementary. Students can read along and turn pages by clicking with the mouse. Select from folk tales, Greek myths, fairy tales, and non-fiction books plus comics.
